Transmission Sprocket Device Requirements And Matters Needing Attention

The sprocket is divided into an automatic sprocket and a driven sprocket. The automatic sprocket is installed on the output shaft of the initiator through splines; the driven sprocket is installed on the driving wheel of the motorcycle, and the power is transmitted to the driving wheel through the chain. The ordinary automatic sprocket is smaller than the driven sprocket, which can reduce the speed and increase the torque.

The functional characteristics of sprocket chain
① Selection of materials-large and small chain wheels are stamped and formed with high-quality carbon structural steel.
② Machining and disposal technology-adopt advanced milling processing technology to make the tooth profile more accurate. The entire sprocket has undergone tempering and heat treatment, which greatly improves its comprehensive mechanical functions. The tooth profile hardness is above 68-72HRA, which significantly improves the wear resistance of the sprocket. The appearance has been sprayed and electroplated.
③ Product series-economical and applicable popular sprockets and high-quality sprockets with superior functions.

Disassembly and assembly of sprocket
1. Automatic sprocket
The automatic sprocket is connected with the output shaft of the initiator in a spline manner, and is fixed with a spline baffle or a nut. When disassembling, the sprocket cover can be removed, the chain can be removed, and the spline baffle or fixing nut can be unscrewed, and the small sprocket can be pulled out. When assembling, proceed in reverse order.

2. Driven sprocket
① Support the main support frame and tilt the rear wheel.
② Loosen the rear wheel shaft fastening nut and the conditioner nut, and remove the chain box and chain.
③ Disassemble the rear brake lever and pull out the rear wheel assembly together.
④ Remove the bolts, nuts or retaining rings that fix the sprocket, and remove the rear hub or pin bolts of the sprocket.
⑤ When installing, proceed in reverse order. And tighten the sprocket fixing nut or bolt (30-50N.m) and the rear axle nut (50-80N.m) according to the regular torque.

Transmission sprocket device requirements and matters needing attention

1. Device requirements
① Select the model accurately according to the model specifications.
② Inspect whether the position of the transmission sprocket (transmission output countershaft, hub, etc.) of the device is superior, otherwise the relevant parts must be overhauled or replaced.
③ Put the main and driven sprocket devices in place according to the accurate method, and tighten the fasteners to meet the requirements of the regular torque.
④ After installing the drive chain and adjusting the tightness, check whether the chain and the sprocket are smooth and coplanar, and there is no interference with the chain cover.

2.Things to note
① The driven sprocket should have anti-loosening measures.
② After the driven sprocket is loaded into the car, the rear wheel axle should be adjusted with the conditioner and the rear cradle (also called the rear wheel fork). This can prevent the rear wheel from deviating, and also prevent the sprocket and chain from early Wear.
③ Because the automatic sprocket has a high speed and a small number of teeth, it wears faster than the driven wheel under the same conditions, which is a normal condition.
④ It is better to change the sprocket and chain. If only one of them is changed, the wear on both sides will be aggravated.
⑤ The drive chain and drive sprocket should be cleaned and smoothed on schedule to improve their service life.
